About Gastroenterology Center of Connecticut

The Gastroenterology Center of Connecticut was co-founded in 1997 by Drs. Taylor, Troncale, and Vender. Their vision was to create a sophisticated medical practice that emphasized in equal parts state-of-the-art medical care along with a warm and caring environment for patients.

Sophisticated Medical Care: Our physicians have been recruited from the finest training programs in the country, including Yale, Harvard, and the University of Pennsylvania, and include former faculty members at Yale, the current and former Chief of Gastroenterology at the Hospital of St. Raphael, two former Chiefs of Gastroenterology at Milford Hospital, a Ph.D., and an MBA among our medical staff. Our Endoscopy Suite, the first privately owned ambulatory endoscopy center in Connecticut, has been the model for subsequent centers that have been developed by physicians in Hartford, Greenwich, and Norwich, and has been featured in a national publication.

Close to Home: Our primary offices in Hamden, Milford, and Guilford have been situated in locations that are safe and convenient for our patients. We have chosen locations that are within minutes of major roads, with ample free parking, and which are close to our major communities. The offices are also situated in close proximity to other important facilities, such as laboratories and radiology services. In addition to our three primary offices, patients can also be seen in smaller office, which we staff on a part-time basis in East Haven, West Haven, Amity, North Haven, and Cheshire.

A Warm and Caring Environment: If you have been to any of our primary offices, you already know how dedicated we are to providing you not only sophisticated medical care, but also providing that care in an environment that demonstrates compassion and concern. Our offices have been designed and decorated to provide a soothing environment that is enhanced by warm colors, music, and artwork. Our staff shares our commitment to providing caring service, and these values are reinforced at weekly staff meetings, regular staff communications, and patient satisfaction surveys.

At the Gastroenterology Center of Connecticut, we have created a unique medical culture. We are committed to excellent patient care provided by a highly skilled medical staff that regularly improves itself through continuing medical education. We are equally committed to the emotional and psychological well-being of our patients, and the comfort and convenience of our patients and their families. Our staff and our offices demonstrate this commitment on a daily basis.

If you have been to any of our primary offices, you already know how dedicated we are to providing you not only sophisticated medical care, but also providing that care in an environment that demonstrates compassion and concern.
