Ms. McCrann's personal interests include photography, skiing, hiking, running (including a recent marathon), travel, and spending time with her family and friends.

Ms. McCrann was born in New York City and grew up in Portland, Maine. She graduated from Holy Cross College with a BA degree in History, as well as concentrations in German and Peace Studies. She was awarded a one year Fulbright Scholarship to teach high school in Eastern Germany.
Upon returning to the United States, she then decided to change fields and begin a career in medicine. She attended the Yale School of Medicine Physician Associate Program from 1996 to 1998, and achieved honors status in all of her clinical rotations. Prior to joining the Gastroenterology Center of Connecticut, she worked for two years as a Physician Associate in the Department of Internal Medicine at the Hospital of St. Raphael.
She is certified as a Physician Associate by the NCCPA, and is an AAPA member. She maintains Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification. She continually attends lectures and conferences to stay abreast of new medical advances.
At the GCC, she currently cares for both office patients and our hospitalized patients. Her hospital affiliations include the Hospital of St. Raphael, Yale-New Haven Hospital, and Milford Hospital.
